The model reflects typical operating conditions in Australian specialty cafés, where milk-based drinks account for approximately 85 - 95% of beverages served. Estimated time savings are derived from measured steaming performance together with operational factors such as jug handling, steam wand cleaning, milk container replacement, and workflow interruptions.

Alternative milks generally require more handling and often carry higher product costs; therefore, potential operational and cost savings may be greater in cafés with high alternative milk usage.
